Hello all your Lovelies out there. I hope you are all happy and well. It has been a funny old day weather wise here, rainy, sunny, cold, warm.........it was hard to know what to put on! I hope you have all faired better than we have.
Well today is the day when I promised to do the big draw. Unfortunately I have not yet worked out how to do it all electronically Folks, many apologies, one day I will learn I promise. This morning before work I wrote all the names and put them in my lovely sugar bowl and then set out to work.
I asked my lovely students to pick out two numbers - all very objective you see - they have no idea why I was doing this but humoured me anyway and so I came home with two winners, having no notion at that time who they were.
I couldn't wait to get home to check them to see..........
Well the first one out of the hat (or should I say sugar bowl) was the gorgeous Wendy from September Violets. If you have not visited Wendy's blog please do go and see her as she has the most delicious posts which I really enjoy. She lives in a beautiful part of the world - Canada and I just love following her adventures with her lovely family. Well done Wendy - do get in touch soon.
Who is the second winner? Why it is the gorgeous Jackie from Jackie's Crafts. I have followed Jackie for a while now and she is such a talented lady. Do call by the see her Everyone, you won't be disappointed I promise. Well done Jackie do get in touch soon.
Lovely Readers I really wish I could send you a gift each, honestly I do. Although I love these giveaways and always enjoy doing them the bittersweet part of it all is that only a few win. To all you lovely people who didn't win this time I send much love and a big hug as well as a huge thank you for taking part. I will be organising another giveaway in the not too distant future so please keep your eyes peeled.
I went to sewing class last night and started my Tilly top which isn't going as well as I expected. Unfortunately I seem to have bought the wrong type of fabric (although I did ask for advice) but I am soldiering on with it. I was all excited about making it but since cutting it out and starting to sew it I am already having concerns that it is a bit too ambitious for me at this stage. I am afraid of making a huge mess of it all but if I don't try then I won't learn will I? Rachel as ever is so encouraging and supportive and tells me to push on with it and let's see what happens. I suppose I can always turn it into dusters..........
I am just tackling the sleeves now but I am so tired tonight that I really don't feel like sewing at all so maybe not a good idea to set about these now. I am back at sewing class tomorrow so we shall see what happens.
Well my lovely Friends I must love you and leave you all now. I have loads to do this evening (as usual this is all related to work) but there is no use in moaning about it as it has to be done. I will speak to you all very soon and let you know how Tilly is coming along. Be safe and happy everyone. Sending you a huge hug to everyone of you. Dorothy:-)xxxxxxxxxxxx
Congratulations to Wendy and Jacquie, both very worthy winners who will love your beautiful gifts I am sure! So kind of you to have such a beautiful handmade giveaway Dorothy. I hope that you can work out things with the top, your sewing teacher will see you right I'm sure, and you are right too, sewing when you are tired is probably not the best! Hope that tomorrow is less busy for you and that your class goes well. xx
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Dorothy!! You have just made my day :) I just sat down to do a little blog reading and this is the happy news that greeted me! I will send you my mailing address by email. Congratulations to Jackie as well! I hope you don't get discouraged with the top. Don't rush it, and I'm sure you'll do fine. Wendy x
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the lovely Wendy and to Jackie on winning these lovely gifts!
ReplyDeleteDo take your time with the top dear, and please don't attempt any work on it when feeling tired - I have made many a mistake that way, myself! Yes, you must listen to your elders now Dorothy - be a good girl! Seriously, I'm sure it'll work out beautifully - have faith in yourself! Talk soon, much love and warm hugs to brighten your day!
